Graphic Design

Turning a message into a clear visual expression through typography, imagery and composition.

One message. The right emphasis.

HOW DOES THIS WORK DEVELOP?

A campaign image, product announcement and corporate communication each serve a different need. I start by clarifying the message and its audience, then design the relationship between text, photographs and graphic elements. I can work directly with brand teams or within an agency’s existing creative direction.

01

Start with the order of information

When a headline, product, explanation and call to action have equal weight, the message can become unclear. I establish what should be seen first and build the visual hierarchy around it. Text length, the quality of the supplied images and the publishing format shape the composition from the beginning.

02

Image and typography together

Image selection, cropping, placement, colour and type should support the same idea. I review the supplied material and adapt it to the visual need, considering the existing brand identity. The visual language becomes a way of carrying the message rather than an isolated decoration.

THE IDEA TAKES SHAPE

One message.
The right emphasis.

  1. 01Message
  2. 02Hierarchy
  3. 03Composition
  4. 04Adaptation

From the first brief to the final delivery, every step follows the same visual direction.

03

One idea, different formats

Adapting an approved composition often requires more than resizing it. A horizontal banner and a vertical announcement may need different text placement, product scale and spacing. We agree on the format list early so that the central message remains readable in each version.

04

A clear handover for the team

For ongoing brand or agency campaigns, we discuss file organisation and the approval workflow. File formats, revisions and editable elements are defined in the brief. Knowing where the design will be used helps make the delivered files useful in everyday production.

Deliverables

Deliverables and file requirements are agreed individually for each brief.

  • Campaign key visual and visual direction
  • Product or service presentation compositions
  • Digital announcements and banners
  • Visual layouts combining photography, copy and graphic elements
  • Agreed format adaptations of the approved design
  • Export files suited to their use
  • Editable working files included in the agreed scope

Working process

  1. 01

    Define the need

We review the message, audience, publishing formats and available brand material, then define the deliverables.

  2. 02

    Establish the visual direction

I develop the approach through typography, imagery and layout, and we evaluate how the main message will appear.

  3. 03

    Develop the design

I refine the selected direction and complete the agreed revisions using consolidated feedback.

  4. 04

    Adapt and deliver

I adapt the approved composition to the selected formats, check legibility and file settings, and prepare the final files.

LET’S DEFINE THE NEED

For our first conversation

A few sentences in response to these questions are a useful starting point for understanding your needs and defining the scope.

  1. What is the single main message the viewer should take away?
  2. Where will the design appear, and in which dimensions?
  3. Are the copy, logo, photographs and brand guidelines ready?
  4. Who will approve the design direction and final files?

Frequently asked questions

Can you work with our existing brand identity?

Yes. We can use your logo, colours, typography and guidelines. I develop a composition for the brief while keeping its relationship with the brand’s other communication materials.

Can the scope cover just one visual?

We can define a project around a single announcement or campaign image. If it needs several formats, listing those at the start makes production and delivery clearer.

What do you need to prepare a proposal?

The content, intended uses, number of formats, available visual material and target delivery date are a useful starting point. We also discuss editable files and the approval workflow.
